g. If the wire clip has fallen out, reinstall it so it is curved in the
direction shown. The curve of the lens retainer clip should face the
lens stack. With the thicker electronic lens, the wire retaining clip
prong should go into the upper hinge points of the shield.
h. To secure the lens stack in place, pull the clip down over the stack
until it snaps into the two slots in the lens frame.
NOTE:
When using the electronic welding lens, be sure to use the
electronic lens adapter and safety plate supplied with the electronic
lens or light leaks may result.
NOTE:
Make sure that the lens retaining clip seats itself completely
into the two slots at the bottom of the lens opening.
NOTE:
The safety plate supplied with the electronic lens is part
number 520
-
02-34R01.
16) When replacing the L-133 Lens Covers,
up to five lens covers can be
attached, one on top of another. As needed, you can then peel off the
outermost cover to improve your vision. To replace the lens covers:
a. Peel off the tape and secure one side of the cover to the lens.
b. Smooth the cover carefully across the lens, and secure the other
side
NOTE
: Avoid rubbing the lens cover aggressively to adhere it to the
lens. Doing so may impart a static charge which will result in small
particles (dust, paint aerosols, etc.) being attracted to the lens
during use.
c. For best adhesion, be sure the lens is clean. Use warm soapy
water, followed by a clean water rinse and air dry. If needed, use a
solvent such as isopropanol only. Allow the lens to dry completely
before attempting to attach a lens cover.
17) To replace the L-182 Air Deflector
:
a. Remove the face shield knobs.
b. Remove the face shield or shields from the headgear.
c. Apply the 4-inch strip of hook and loop fastener to the front of the
headgear shell.
