3. Product Description
The Visio Beta vacuum pump is an oil-sealed, single-phase
vacuum pump with a rotary valve design intended for use
in connection with the Visio Beta vario light curing unit.
It has been equipped at the factory with a thermal overload
protection unit to protect the motor and vacuum pump from
being damaged or destroyed.
The vacuum pump is delivered with a special oil and may
be operated only with this oil.
왘
Set up the vacuum pump so that sufficient cooling by
the surrounding air is guaranteed. Maximum permissible
cooling air temperature: 40° C/104° F.
- The pump may not be installed or operated in a
closed container without air supply and exhaust
facilities.
- A tilt angle of up to about 10° to either side is
permissible during operation.
6.1 Connecting the Vacuum Pump
The pump is filled with oil prior to delivery. The two hose
connections are connected with a short hose to prevent oil
from escaping during transport.
왘
Release both of the hose clamps on the hose connec -
tions; remove and discard the short hose.
왘
Slide the two hoses delivered with the pump onto the
pump hose connections and secure them with the hose
clamps.
왘
Connect the hose on the intake connection with the
hose connection on the Visio Beta vario unit and secure
it with the enclosed hose clamp.
왘
If an exhaust system is available, attach the hose on the
exhaust connection to it if possible.
ATTENTION!
The connection hoses must not be connected to
gas or compressed air sources or kinked.
