8.0 Distribution Cable Termination
8.1
Cut an X shaped slit in the rubber grommet located in the lower right hand corner. Install terminal door.
8.2
Route the distribution pair(s) through the grommet and up to the distribution block and locate the desired
pair location on the block.
a.
Trim the ends of the pair and form a 90
°
bend on the end
of the pair.
b.
Make sure the assigned pair caps are in the positioned with the slot oriented vertically.
c.
Insert the tip wire through the tip port until the wire is visible from the exit port underneath.
d.
Insert a 1/2” wide slotted screwdriver blade into the slot in
the top of the cap and rotate 90
0
clockwise until you feel
the cap come to rest against the stop. As the cap rotates, the
wire is simultaneously connected and trimmed off.
Note:
Make sure the screwdriver blade is fully inserted into
the cap before rotating.

Always route the distribution wire below the connected
cap and across the pairs through the wire guides.
f.
Record the location of the distribution pairs on the binding
post log located on the inside surface of the terminal door.
g.
Install 4324 special circuit caps on appropriate pair
positions.
h.
Close the terminal door and secure.
i.
If additional security is required, remove the two security screws holding the lock hasp. Position the hasp
in the two rearward holes and secure with the special screws provided. Make a slit in the weather
stripping in the hasp slot of the terminal door. This will now allow an additional locking device to be
attached.
