8 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
8.2.5 Opening the protective cover
To perform maintenance work, the protective cover and doors of iSaCS need to be opened. Before
reaching into the device, exit control software, switch off the main power supply and disconnect
power cables (see section
2.2 Main outer parts of the device
).
8.3 Troubleshooting
This section describes the most common troubleshooting solutions for the device iSaCS. If any
problem arises that does not have solution in this manual, contact the service personnel.
The product does not start
•
Power supply is interrupted
1. Make sure that both the main power supply switch and the side switch are on.
2. Check cable connections.
3. Fuses must be replaced (see section
8.2.4 Replacing fuses of the main power
switch
).
Control software has stopped
•
A „Coverslipping unit error” message is received during initialization
Pull the coverslipper unit forward, clean the sensor slot, then push the unit back to its
place.
•
Missed steps have been detected or stepper motor did not return to home position
Open one of the doors.
•
Other malfunction was detected
Contact 3DHISTECH support or service.
The following message appears: „Illumination error! Probably there is a problem with the Xenon
FLASH lamp. Please turn off the scanner.”
•
Contact 3DHISTECH Service for support.
