ETTINGS

The problem with installing a proxy server on the LAN is that each client
must be configured to support the proxy, which adds to administration
tasks.

The alternative is to move the proxy to the WAN or DMZ, depending
upon the level of protection desired, and enable Automatic Proxy
Forwarding. The Firewall can automatically forward all Web proxy
requests to the proxy server without client configuration. As a result, no
client configuration is required when a Web Proxy is used.

The Firewall can also be used to forward all Web (HTTP) traffic to a Web
Cache on the network. The Web Cache can be placed either on the WAN
or the DMZ side of the Firewall. The installation is the same as for a Proxy
Server. See below.
