3.2 ADVANCED 

The Advanced tab provides the following configuration options: 

Game Hosting, Virtual Server, 

Applications, StreamEngine™, Routing, Access Control, Web Filter, MAC Filter, Firewall, Inbound 
Filter, Wireless and Schedules

.  

 

3.2.1  ADVANCED - Game Hosting 

Multiple connections are required by some applications, such as internet games, video conferencing, 
Internet telephony, and others. These applications have difficulties working through NAT (Network 
Address Translation). The Gaming section is used to open multiple ports or a range of ports in your router 
and redirect data through those ports to a single PC on your network. This feature allows you to enter ports 
in various formats:   

Range (50-100) 
Individual (80, 68, 888) 
Mixed (1020-5000, 689)

ADD GAME RULE 

Here you can add entries to the Game Rules List below, or edit existing entries.   

Example:  

You are hosting an online game server that is running on a PC with a Private IP Address of 192.168.0.50. 
This game requires that you open multiple ports (6159-6180, 99) on the router so Internet users can 
connect.  

Enable: 

Each entry in Game Rules List can be active (enabled) or inactive (disabled)
