4.3 Setting your WRE6605 to Repeater Mode

To use your WRE6605 as a repeater, see

Section 3.1.1.1 on page 25

.

Connect your computer to the LAN port of the WRE6605. Make sure both the WRE6605 and computer
are in the same subnet.

Open a web browser and type “http://192.168.1.2” as the web address in your web browser.

Press and hold the Smart Push Button for 2 seconds.

The

Change Password

screen appears. Type a new password and retype it to confirm, then click

CHANGE PASSWORD

.

The main screen appears.

Note: You must log into the Web Configurator again after switching to a different mode.

Note: If the wireless router/AP supports dual band, the WRE6605’s uplink connection will

prioritize 5G WiFi.
