Repeater Mode
4.1 Overview
In repeater mode, your WRE6605 can act as an access point and wireless client at the same time. The
WRE6605 can connect to an existing network through another access point and also lets wireless clients
connect to the network through it. This helps you expand wireless coverage when you have an access
point or wireless router already in your network.
In the example below, the WRE6605 (

) is configured as a repeater. It has three clients that want to
connect to the Internet. The WRE6605 connects wirelessly to the available wireless router (

Repeater Mode
After the WRE6605 and the access point connect, the WRE6605 acquires its IP address through the
access point. The clients of the WRE6605 can now surf the Internet.
