The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Up Click this link to go to the card's GSHDSL Profile Setup screen.
Profile Name When editing a profile, this is the name of this profile. When adding a profile, type a
name for the profile.
PSD Region Select Annex A for use with POTS lines (common in North America). Select
Annex B for use with ISDN lines (common in Europe).
Min Rate (Kbps) Type the minimum transfer rate for this port. Speeds greater than 192 (Kbps) are
supported.
Configure the minimum transfer rate to be less than the maximum stream transfer
rate.
Max Rate (Kbps) Type a maximum transfer rate for this port. Speeds from 192 to 2304 (Kbps) are
supported.
Configure the maximum transfer rate to be greater than the minimum stream
transfer rate.
N-Wire Select a wire pair number. Each port uses two wires so a 4-wire group consists of
two ports and an 8-wire group consists of four ports.
Select
2 for a normal connection using a single SHDSL port’s two wires, this is the
default.
Select
4 for a 4-wire group (two SHDSL ports grouped together).
Select 8 for a 8-wire group (four SHDSL ports grouped together).
LineProbe The SHDSL line card and subscriber modem use line probes to determine the best
possible transmission rate. This is used in rate adaptation.
Select
CurrNM to enable line probing using the current target Signal to Noise Ratio
margin.
Select
WorstNM to enable line probing using the worst case target Signal to Noise
Ratio margin.
Select
off to disable line probling to have the system skip the rate adaptation
phase to shorten connection set up time.
