Basic Home Station VDSL2 P8701T User’s Guide

4.5 The 3G Backup Screen

Use this screen to configure your 3G settings. Click Network > WAN > 3G Backup. See

Section

2.3 on page 21

for the supported 3G USB dongles.

Note: The actual data rate you obtain varies depending the 3G card you use, the signal

strength to the service provider’s base station, and so on.

If the signal strength of a 3G network is too low, the 3G card may switch to an available 2.5G or
2.75G network. Refer to

Section 4.6 on page 97

for a comparison between 2G, 2.5G, 2.75G and 3G

wireless technologies.
