Chapter 4 The Web Configurator

To upload the factory-default configuration file, do the following:

1

Connect to the console port using a computer with terminal emulation software. See

Section 3.1.1 on page 33

for details.

Disconnect and reconnect the switch’s power to begin a session. When you reconnect the
switch’s power, you will see the initial screen.

When you see the message “

Press any key to enter Debug Mode within 3

seconds ...

” press any key to enter debug mode.

Type

atlc

after the “

Enter Debug Mode

” message.

Wait for the “

Starting XMODEM upload

” message before activating XMODEM

upload on your terminal.

After the factory-default configuration file upload, type

atgo

to restart the switch.

The switch is now reinitialized with the factory-default configuration file including the default
password of “1234”.

4.6 Logging Out of the Web Configurator

Click

Logout

in a screen to exit the web configurator. You have to log in with your password

again after you log out. This is recommended after you finish a management session both for
security reasons and so as you don’t lock out other switch administrators.
