PROBLEM CORRECTIVE ACTION
The DSL LED is
off.
Check the telephone wire and connections between the Prestige DSL port and the
wall jack.
Make sure that the telephone company has checked your phone line and set it up
for DSL service.
Reset your ADSL line to reinitialize your link to the DSLAM. For details, refer to
Chapter 12 Maintenance (web configurator) or Chapter 24 System Information and
Diagnosis (SMT).

I cannot access the
Prestige from the
LAN.
If the 10M/100M LEDs on the front panel are both off, refer to the Problems
with the LAN LED section .
Make sure that the IP address and the subnet mask of the Prestige and your
computer(s) are on the same subnet.
I cannot ping any
computer on the LAN.
If the 10M/100M LEDs on the front panel are both off, refer to the Problems
with the LAN LED section .
Make sure that the IP address and the subnet mask of the Prestige and the
computers are on the same subnet.

PROBLEM CORRECTIVE ACTION
I cannot get a
WAN IP address
from the ISP.
The ISP provides the WAN IP address after authenticating you. Authentication
may be through the user name and password, the MAC address or the host name.
The username and password apply to PPPoE and PPPoA encapsulation only.
Make sure that you have entered the correct Service Type , User Name and
Password (be sure to use the correct casing). Refer to Chapter 6 WAN Setup
(web configurator) or Chapter 17 Internet Access (SMT).
