1.3.2 Curbside Application
The AAM can also be used by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in a street cabinet to form a
"mini POP (Point-of-Presence)" to provide broadband services to residential areas that are too
far away from the ISP to avail of DSL services. Residents need an ADSL modem, connected
as shown in the previous figure.
