System design and installation notes
• Installation in switch cabinets on 35 mm top-hat rail complying with EN 50022.
• Two twisted or stranded non-shielded conductors (2 x 0.75 mm
2
) are used for the bus line; the
polarities of the two bus lines may be reversed.
• The supply voltage of 24 V AC is connected unswitched to the 24 V AC terminals.
• The terminals underneath the S1 – S4 inputs are connected internally to the 24 V AC terminal. The
current through the internal connection must not exceed 1 A.
• If required, several momentary action switches may be wired in parallel to one input. Never connect
one momentary action switch to more than one input.
• In the case of switching contacts with neon lamps the power through the neon lamp must not be led
over the switching contact

• Switching contacts with non externally powered neon lamps, RC element and switching thyristors are
not recognized properly by LM-4UAS2, LM-4UAS2 (V) and must not be used.
Principle of operation
LM-4UAS2: operation with momentary action switches (standard)
Depending on the addressing of an input, a specific luminaire group or all luminaires in a room can
be operated. To switch between scenes, e.g. the "Presence" (scene 0) and the "Absence" (scene 1)
scene, press and release the momentary action switch connected to one of the four inputs. To dim up
the luminaires of a group or all luminaires in a room respectively, press and hold the momentary action
switch.
LM-4UAS2 (V): Project-specific configuration (factory settings)
The LM-4UAS2 (V) is used for project-specific configuration. Depending on the project requirements,
the LM-4UAS2 (V) settings are pre-configured at the factory. The functions deviate somewhat from the
LM-4UAS2 (standard).
Configuration instructions
All characteristics of the LM-4UAS2 and LM-4UAS2 (V) input devices can be adjusted on site by an
authorised Zumtobel service technician to suit a particular project.

Consignes de configuration et d'installation
• Montage en armoire électrique sur profilé normalisé 35 mm (EN 50022).
• Pour les lignes de bus prévoir deux conducteurs torsadés non blindés (2 x 0,75 mm
2
); les deux
conducteurs sont à polarité interchangeable.
• La tension d'alimentation de 24 V AC est raccordée non connectée aux bornes 24 V AC.
• Les bornes situées en dessous des entrées S1 - S4 sont reliées en interne à la borne 24 V AC.
L'intensité sur cette liaison ne doit pas dépasser 1 A.
• En cas de besoin, on pourra installer plusieurs poussoirs en parallèle sur une même entrée. Un
poussoir ne doit en aucun cas être installé sur plusieurs entrées.
• Pour les contacteurs avec voyant lumineux incorporé le courant dans la lampe ne doit pas passer par
le contact de commutation

• Les contacteurs incorporant un voyant lumineux, un composant RC et thyristors sans alimentation
externe ne sont pas détectés de façon univoque par le LM-4UAS2, LM-4UAS2 (V) et ne doivent donc
pas être utilisés.
Fonctionnement
LM-4UAS2 : Commande par poussoirs (standard)
Selon l’adressage d’une entrée, il est possible de commander tous les luminaires d’un local ou un
groupe de luminaires : une brève pression sur le poussoir raccordé à l‘une des quatre entrées alterne
entre les ambiances p. ex « Absence » (Ambiance 0) et « Présence » (Ambiance 1), à savoir un
changement d‘ambiance par pression ; une pression prolongée entraîne la gradation plus lumineuse
alternée de tout l‘éclairage ou d‘un groupe de luminaires d‘un local.
LM-4UAS2 (V) : Configuration spécifique au projet (configuration usine)
Le LM-4UAS2 (V) sert à la configuration spécifique au projet. Le LM-4UAS2 (V) est préconfiguré en
usine en fonction du projet concerné. Les fonctions diffèrent de celles du LM-4UAS2 (standard).
Consignes de configuration
Toutes les propriétés possibles des modules d‘entrée LM-4UAS2 et LM-4UAS2 (V) peuvent être
modifiées sur place par un technicien SAV Zumtobel habilité, ou des ajustements spécifiques au projet
peuvent être effectués.
