To connect to the WAN using external equipment, connect the external equipment to the
MX250 through one of the two Ethernet ports.
5. If Music on Hold is provided by an external source, connect that source to the audio input
(item 6 of figure 3-2).
6. Ensure that power is not provided to the system.
7. Plug the ac cord into ac input. See figure 3-2 to identify the ac input.
Danger
Always use the provided power cord to power the MX250; contact your Zultys
representative if this is unsuitable. The provided power cord has a separate ground
(earth) connector and must be inserted in a power socket that provides a protective
ground (earth) contact. Do not negate this protection by using an extension cord
(power cable) that does not carry the protective grounding conductor.
Warning
The power supply cord is used as the main disconnect device. Ensure the power
socket is located or installed near the equipment and is easily accessible.

The power cord provides the safety ground for the MX250. Keep this cord properly
connected at all times, even if the equipment is not powered by the ac mains.
Caution
Do not place objects on the power cord. Run the power cord so people cannot step
on or trip on the power cord.
8. Plug the ac power cord into the wall outlet.
Warning
Do not overload wall outlets as this might result in electric shock.
9. If you purchased the battery option, plug in the –48Vdc supply into the dc power input (see
item 2 of figure 3-2). Ensure that power to the battery is off before making this connection.

1. Open the UI by double clicking the MX Admin icon.
