7.2.2 Replacing Fuses
The Master Output fuse and the six Individual Output fuses are the only user replaceable parts
on the BPS12. Figure 7-2 displays the location of the fuses on the rear panel of the BPS12
7.2.2.1 Master Output Fuse
The Master Output fuse (item 1 in figure 7-2) protects all six dc outputs (item 3). If a voltmeter is
unable to detect a voltage on any of the dc power outputs, the Master Output fuse may be blown.
To replace the Master Output Fuse, insert a flathead screwdriver in the slot located in the middle
of the fuse receptacle and rotate counter clockwise. Continue rotating until you remove the
receptacle from the chassis. Replace the fuse only with a 16 A fuse supplied with the BPS12 by
Zultys – part number 35-10009-00. Place the new fuse in the receptacle and then return the
receptacle into the chassis.
7.2.2.2 Individual Output Fuses
Each individual output fuse (item 2 in figure 7-2) protects the single dc output (item 3) to which
it is adjacent. The loss of voltage on only one output may indicate that the associated fuse is
blown.
To replace an Individual Output Fuse, insert a flathead screwdriver in the slot located in the
middle of the fuse receptacle, press the screwdriver into the chassis, and rotate the receptacle
counter clockwise 45°. The receptacle is spring loaded and will pop out of the chassis. Replace the
fuse only with a 10 A fuse supplied with the BPS12 by Zultys – 35-10008-00. Place the new fuse in
the receptacle and then return the receptacle into the chassis.
7.2.3 Replacing Internal Parts
Caution
There are no parts inside the BPS12 that you can repair or replace yourself.
Opening the BPS12 case may result in bodily injury and damage to the BPS12 and
surrounding equipment. Refer servicing to only qualified service personnel.
Opening the BPS12 case voids your warranty.
