MAINTENANCE
Clean and polish the Carbon Fiber Pieces with
Turtle Wax® vinyl fabric upholstery cleaner and
protector. Spray wax or cleaner on cloth and wipe
the carbon fiber covers. Never apply waxes or
cleaners directly to the carbon fiber covers.

SPECIFIC POINTS FOR Z8300 R1200 RT

INSTALL THE MAIN DASH TRIM ONE SIDE AT A TIME. LEFT SIDE FIRST.
See page 1 for proper preparation and heating of surfaces.
LEFT SIDE
On the back side, cut paper mask at top center, point
a.
Peel off paper backing from left side of carbon fiber piece.
Position carbon fiber piece at top center point
a.
Align Carbon Fiber Dash at point
b.
and press lightly.
Align carbon fiber piece around parallelogram cutout
c.
Work with a light hand and align piece along outer edge of speedometer,
smoothing upward and outward to the upper left edge, point
e.
Be certain to press fully onto dash (it’s slightly concave) at point
d.
With hair dryer, apply heat to upper left point
e.
Press edge firmly down, and
hold into position for 1 minute.
Turn handle bars out of way, and apply heat to lower left edge
f
. Working from the parallelogram outward, firmly smooth carbon fiber
down. Press firmly down at point
f.
and hold into position for one minute. Smooth left side with cloth all over.
RIGHT SIDE
Turn handle bars out of the way of the right side. Remove backing paper from right side of carbon fiber. Apply heat.
From top center
a.
smooth along top edge lightly. Locate point
b. on right side
and lightly position.
Work with a light hand around tachometer. Be certain to press fully onto dash (it’s slightly concave) at point
d on the right side.
Work toward upper right area and edge. Heat right edge at point
e.
and press firmly into place. Hold for one minute.
Turn handle bars out of way, and apply heat to lower left edge

. Working outward, smooth firmly into position toward outer edge.
Firmly press outer tip

and hold for one minute.
