5.7.8 Installing Environment Monitoring Cable
Prerequisites
Wear the antistatic wrist strap.
The BS8908 cabinet is installed and fixed.
Context
The environment monitoring cable is between the BS8908 system and the external
environment monitoring system. It provides the connection between dry contact and
RS485 monitoring signal.
For the environment monitoring cable, end A is D-type 15-core straight plastic connector
(pin), and end B is made on the engineering site. Figure 5-35 shows the structure of the
environment monitoring cable.
