Increase angle off attack & reduce speed (up to & including a stall) until propeller
stop rotation

Repeat at necessary:
Ensuring propeller has stopped rotation before each
restart attempt.
Note : The engine cools quickly with the Propeller stopped. Choke may need to be
used to start if time between restart is longer. After restart not RPM max power.

Fire during Start on Ground

Cranking
CONTINUE to get a start that would suck the flames and
accumulated fuel through the carburettor and into the engine.
If engine starts,

2500 RPM

Fuel
OFF & allow engine to empty carburettor

Engine
Inspect for damage
If engine fails to start,

Cranking
CONTINUE in an effort to obtain a start.
If no start in 15 seconds : Shut off fuel & continue to crank for
another 15 seconds.

(have ground attendants obtain if not installed).
