This kit for Zinus bunk beds is designed to ensure the safety of
your child/children and your peace of mind. Please install these
four bracket-and-cable units as illustrated in the instructions.
Even after installing the kit, please
periodically check for welds that
are cracked or coming apart,
such as the weld shown to
the left. If you discover such
welds, discontinue using
your bunk bed and
contact our customer
support for a refund.

WARNING
Two or more welds that connect the horizontal side rail of the upper bunk to the
vertical support of the guardrail can break and your upper bunk can collapse.
A person falling from the upper bunk and/or a person in the lower bunk can
suffer serious bodily injury.
Install the brackets and cables provided. Do not use your bunk bed until you
have installed the brackets and cables.
NOTE: This repair kit is not intended for upper bunks with broken welds.
Prior to installing the kit, please inspect the welds for cracks at the four
locations circled below where the horizontal side rails of the upper bunk are
connected to the vertical bars of the guardrail (see diagram below). Look for
cracks in the welds on the three edges (three red dotted lines marked 1,2,3
,
below) where each vertical bar is welded to the end of a horizontal side rail. The
edge marked 3 is on the back side of the vertical bar. Do NOT install the
supplied kit if you observe that any weld is cracked or coming apart (as shown
below)
