Standard Offset
High Offset
Once the desired offset, leg length and joint stability
have been achieved, remove the modular neck
and head trials. Reattach the broach handle to the
assembled trial and remove the trial from the femur.
Detach the broach handle from the assembled trial.
Trial Reduction
Utilizing the modular neck and head trials, perform a
trial reduction of the hip and determine if the selected
offset, leg length and joint stability are appropriate
(Figures 14 and 15). When performing the trial range
of motion, ensure the absence of impingement of
the neck on the rim of the acetabular component or
acetabular liner.
Note:
The gold modular trials indicate standard
offset and the black trials indicate high offset.
