Using the Lumin as a Webcam
Using Skype
The Lumin can be used as a webcam by connecting your Mirrorless Camera into the
HDMI IN
port.
This will enable high quailty video compared to standard Webcams.
Software such as Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet will automatically be able to use
the Lumin without additional drivers.
Using the Lumin with this apps requires the right source to be selected.
1. Download Skype and open the application.
2. Once signed in, from Skype’s menu bar, open the
video and audio settings
.
3. Click on the
Camera
menu and select
ZILR Lumin
from the list. You will see the video appear in
the preview window if connected to the Lumin’s
HDMI IN
.
4. From the
Microphone
menu, select
ZILR Lumin
from the list if you are using the audio from the
HDMI IN
, or if you are using a microphone connected to 3.5mm microphone port on select
ZILR Lumin Line/Mic
. When you speak, you will see the audio meters move up and down. This
will mean that the audio is working as intended.
