USING YOUR
ZHUMELL SPOTTING SCOPE
To get the most from your Zhumell spotting scope, be sure
to understand and properly use these features. Doing so will
lead to the most satisfying experience possible from your new
optical equipment.
SETTING MAGNIFICATION
To set the eyepiece magnification, twist the Eyepiece Zoom
between the ranges of magnification on your scope. The
numbers and arrow on the eyepiece will show the current
magnification setting.
FOCUSING
To focus your spotting scope on an object, begin by setting
the Eyepiece Zoom to the lowest magnification. Slowly turn
the Focus Knob on the side of the spotting scope body until
the image in the eyepiece becomes clear. You may need to
make adjustments to the focus as you zoom in on an object.
ATTACHING TO A TRIPOD
Your spotting scope is designed to fit directly onto the quick-plate
systems commonly found on optical and photographic tripods.
You need only to slide the spotting scope tripod mount into the
mechanism of this type of tripod. Additionally, a traditional tripod
screw can be used to screw into the bottom of the tripod mount
on your spotting scope.
MOUNTING A CAMERA
Your Zhumell spotting scope will work in conjunction with many
digital and SLR cameras and is compatible with a variety of adapt-
ers. Follow the instructions on your camera adapter to use this
feature.
