24.2.1.3 Installing the Card

Insert the PWE server card into any one of the three server card chassis slots (P1, P2 or P3).
The system can accommodate two PWE server cards, where the second card supports
equipment protection in the case of catastrophic card failure. Due to power demands of new
card offerings, Zhone has created a new IMACS CPU-7 Power Consumption Calculator,
815-00018-01 which is available upon request.

24.3

PWE Card User Screens and Settings

24.3.1 PWE Card Main Screen

Figure 24-3 below shows the IMACS Main Screen, with an installed PWE card. To go to the
PWE card main screen, highlight the PWE card as shown in Figure 24-3 and press <Enter>.

Figure 24-3.IMACS main screen with PWE installed

Below in Figure 24-4, <Enter> has been pressed and the PWE card initial setup screen
appears. This screen is a one-time screen that will set the context of the Pseudowire
communications. These settings are made the defacto standard for the card.
