Congratulations to the purchase of the ZEUZ Audio Diamond series subwoofer. Please read this short
manual prior to installing the unit.
General description
The subwoofer of the ZEUZ Audio Diamond series is available in two different dimensions: 10” and
12”. In addition to the Diamond series, the range is also offering coax sets, compo sets and tweeters.
Please ask your dealer for more details.
These subwoofers are built for closed or band-pass enclosures.
The soft rubber suspension and voice
coil allows a very long cone movement which is effectively controlled by the dual strong magnets. The
result is a very tight low bass reproduction. The Aluminium Diamond cut chassis is extremely stiff and
cosmetically eye catching.
Recommendations
For a long, trouble-free use of your speakers, please follow the recommendations below:
-
Use the screws supplied for the installation of the speakers.
-
Do not expose the speakers to moisture.
-
During the installation make sure that the speakers do not get into contact with metal objects.
If necessary, use rubber rings for isolation.
-
Check the specifications of your installation (impedance and power) and make sure that they
are appropriate for this speaker.
-
Do not drive your speakers at maximum load over a longer period of time. This may damage
the speakers or the in-car installation.
-
Reduce the volume prior to switching the installation off in order to protect the speakers
against a sudden overload when you switch the installation on again.
Installation
There are several installation options for the subwoofer. You can either find some room in your car, or
buy a standard bass box or build a bass box yourself. In any case, you need to take into account the
specifications of your subwoofer.
If you choose to build a box on your own, you need at least 20mm thick medium. In order to avoid
vibration in the box, it is recommended to use wood glue with high viscosity and screws of a minimum
length of 5cm. You also need to cover the box with carpet or textile. The inside of the box needs to be
covered with at least 2cm thick damping material. An eventual bass port has to be located at a
distance of 5-10cm to the other side of the bass box.
Factors as the dimensions of the box, the diameter and length of the port can influence the “quality” of
the sound.
