its receive audio is sent to the unselect speaker while it is patch enabled. To hang up a
patched channel, it must first be taken out of the patched mode.
The PATCH XMIT button can be used to allow the operator to talk over all patched
channels (including the phone). This is the only transmit function that allows the Mic
audio to go to the phone, but only if the phone is patched. If the phone is not patched, it
acts like the other transmit functions described above.
Setting up a Phone Conference
When one phone is active and a second phone is taken Off Hook, the first phone is
automatically put in the Hold mode. If the first phone is returned to the active mode, both
phones are active and the receive and transmit audio is routed to both phones. This can be
repeated with as many additional phone channels as are available. All radio channel
receive audio continues to be sent to the Unselect speaker as long as any phone is active.
Manual Paging on a Phone Channel
Any paging format can be sent over the phone by entering the page (including the leading
digit) on the numeric keypad before taking the phone Off Hook, taking the phone Off
Hook (by pressing the
Answer/Hold button), and then pressing the Page Send button.
Note that the Rotary Pulse dial format is not available on the IntegratorRD workstations.
Instant Call Paging on a Phone Channel
The user may program an Instant Call page that designates a specific phone channel as the
destination, and program a phone number to dial. If audio is detected, the specified page is
sent and the phone becomes active as described above. The phone is put back On Hook
and the page aborted if no audio is detected or the designated phone channel is currently
locked out by another position.
If an Instant Call page designates a mixture of radio and phone channels as the destination,
the radio channels are ignored and only the phone channels are processed.
EDACS Functions
Configuration programming allows you to define the following buttons for controlling
EDACS radios.
Note The phone must be Off Hook and not in Hold mode before pressing
the Patch button, else the
Patch button is ignored.
Button Function
Clear Used to clear menu-selected functions.
Special Call Used to select the special call menu.
I-Call Up Scrolls through radio-programmed individual call users.
