Operation
Zetron iRIM Type A and B Operation
This subsection describes receiving calls using the iRIM interface of IntegratorRD.
‘Zetron iRIM Type A’ operation is used to decode ‘Mapped’ IDs (Fleetsync and P25
protocols). ‘Zetron iRIM Type B’ operation is used to decode ‘Full Fleetsync’ IDs.
Receiving a PTT-ID
When receiving a PTT ID call, the “
CALL
” indication is activated and the calling unit
radio ID (or alias, if enabled) is shown in the channel box during the call.
When the call is received, it is entered into the Call History Window with the channel,
radio ID, and time of reception. If Radio ID aliasing is enabled, the alias string (up to 10
characters) is shown in place of the Radio ID. The ID alias table is preconfigured using the
RDPS (Radio Dispatch Programming System) program.
Receiving a Status Message
A radio in the field can send a status update to the dispatcher. The received status is
displayed in the Call History Window along with the time and radio ID from which the
status was received.
The status numbers can be aliased to 10-character alphanumeric strings.
Receiving an Emergency Alert
When receiving an emergency call, the channel box indicates the radio ID or alias as in the
normal voice call, but the ID is flashing and in red. An alarm also sounds if configured in
RDPS that is cancelled when the dispatcher transmits on the channel where the emergency
alert was received. The emergency display may also be cleared with
Review ANI
key and
the audible alert may also be deactivated with
Alarm Ack
key.
The emergency alert is displayed in the Call History window with a status of “Emergency”
along with the time, radio ID, and channel from which the emergency alert was received.
Global Call Management
When RDPS “Global Call Management” option is enabled, any of the following actions
performed by an IntegratorRD console position is updated to all other IntegratorRD
console positions:
Note
The button-based Series 4000 console equipment is capable of
using
only
the Zetron
iRIM Type A
ID functionality. Systems using
the Integrator RD software-based consoles may use both the Type
A or the Zetron
iRIM Type B
ID functionality.
