Problem Solution
Your Zeta smoke alarm does not sound
during testing
• Make sure alarm has been rotated
clockwise as far as it can go and is
securely located on mounting plate
(this means the power pack has been
activated). If testing immediately after first
activating the alarm you should allow a
few seconds for the alarm to settle before
testing.
• Make sure you push the test button firmly
• If the unit has been silenced is in low
sensitivity mode it may not test. Wait 15
minutes then try again.
• If the alarm has been recently fitted and it
still fails to self test then contact technical
support (see page 24).
Your Zeta smoke alarm goes into alarm when
first fitting to the mounting plate
• ZD-SI-610 Only: Ionisation alarms can
be affected by high levels of static. It may
be that the false alarm has been caused
by this when handling the alarm. Remove
static that may have been transferred to
the alarm by wiping the front cover with a
slightly damp cloth.
