The red light (3) will come on to show that the appliance is ON and the plates are heating up.
• The appliance is ready to be used when the green light (2) comes on.

Open the appliance by the handle and put in the food without adding oil or other seasoning; be
careful not to touch the hot parts.
• Close the appliance so that the food inside is in contact with both plates.
•
The green light (2) will automatically come on and go off during grilling indicating that the plates are
being kept at a constant temperature.
•
Remove any juice formed during cooking with a non-scratch kitchen utensil; be careful, as it is very
hot.
• Open the appliance by the handle when you have finished grilling and remove the food with a non-
scratch kitchen utensil; be careful, as the plates are very hot.
• Close the appliance again to keep in the heat if you want to grill something else.

Unplug from the supply outlet when you have finished and leave the appliance to cool down before
cleaning it and putting it away.
Grilling time depends on the type of food, thickness and personal taste; with use and experience you will be
able to decide the most appropriate timing to get the best results.
HOW TO CLEAN
WARNING!
Before carrying out any cleaning and/or maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the
power outlet and wait until the appliance has cooled off.
SUGGESTIONS:
The appliance cleaning will be easier if it is carried out immediately after use.
• Use a kitchen roll or a damp cloth to clean the plates: do not use
chemical or abrasive products.

Use a damp cloth only to clean the main part of the appliance (1).
• Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids.
•
Dry thoroughly before putting the appliance away.
•
Store appliance by locking the top plate on the bottom one until the click of the
appropriate lever (5) is heard.
