Choose a location for the fan which will ensure
adequate clearance from all objects and walls
and with blade height greater than 2.1 metres
from the floor.
2.
At the selected mounting position, check
whether there is a ceiling joist to which the fan
can be secured. If there is no suitable supporting
member, install a 50 x 100mm brace between
ceiling joists. Secure the mounting bracket to the
ceiling with four mounting screws and washers.
If a safety cable is provided with the fan,
anchor this securely to the supporting
member or mounting bracket when wiring
has been completed.
3.
Attach the downrod to the motor unit.
Firstly unfasten and remove downrod fixing bolts
and safety pins. Then remove the ball joint by
unscrewing the locating screw, sliding the ball
joint downward, and detaching the support pin.
5.
Hang the fan in the mounting bracket,
ensuring that the ball joint locating groove
aligns with the notch on the mounting
bracket. Do not connect to supply.
