Updating your ZENEC navigation software
To run any kind of nav-engine or map updates you have to download and use a special
software, called “Toolbox”. First of all, the software makes your ZENEC navigation software
compatible to content available on www.zenec.naviextras.com, and on the other hand, it is
most convenient to deploy and handle new updates, maps and other add-ons.

Key features and Functions of the Toolbox

Keep your navigation software Up-to-Date
When you have connected an SD/SDHC card to your computer with the Toolbox running,
it will detect the individual software content on the card automatically. I.e. if there is a
new update available, Toolbox will show it automatically.

“Get maps and more”
When you have connected the ZENEC SD/SDHC card to your computer and Toolbox has
been started up, it will detect your software automatically. If you proceed to press the
button “Get maps and more”, Toolbox will establish connection with a special download
server. After a short time, which depends on internet ADSL bandwidth, Toolbox will
display all content bundles and add-on features which are compatible with your particular
ZENEC navigation software. You can enter different search criteria like POI packets, maps
and 3D contents for example. Once you have chosen the content you are interested in,
you can find it in “My Updates”.

Easy updating with “My Updates”
After having chosen update bundles / features / maps from the “maps and more” menu,
you can download your selection over “My updates”.
To run such an update on your ZENEC navigation system, you just have to follow the
instructions of the installation guide precisely.

“Backup and Restore”
This feature provides for simple backup or restore process of your ZENEC navigation
system in case of mistakes, crashes etc. Besides this, Toolbox will always ask you for
creating a backup while you are installing new content or updates.

“Transfer my contents”
If there is not enough space on your SD/SDHC card to add new content, you can easily
transfer existing content you do not need to your computer. This content can be used
anytime later, in case you change your mind.
