Full measurement procedure
In general, the following steps are performed when running a complete
measurement procedure with the ZEISS VISUREF 150
Autorefractor/Keratometer:
•
Patient selection
•
Refraction measurement
•
Pupil diameter measurement
•
Images of the eye
•
Finalization of measurement procedure with output of measurement
results
If desired, the user can delete the recorded measurement data, view the
results of already completed measurements again or change the device
settings at any time between the measurements.
The steps actually performed depend on the device configuration and scope
of measurements:

The Patient selection step requires the device to be integrated into an
EMR/PMS system and depends on the type of integration and selected
workflow. By default, all measurements are anonymous, the
measurement data will be identified by a device-internal counter and not
allocated to patient data. The various options offered for linking
measurement and patient data are explained in Section Patient selection ,
page 47.
The user can freely choose the type of measurements and their sequence.
This applies both to the selection of measurement modes and patient eyes
to be examined. To complete a measurement procedure, at least one
measurement must be performed. The various steps for the different
measurement modes are described in Section Measurement of refraction
and keratometry , page 51, Measurement of pupil and corneal diameters ,
page 64 and Image captures , page 71. Moreover, the device provides the
option to measure contact lenses (see Measurement of contact lenses ,
page 77).

Finalization of a measurement, its storage location (local, on a USB drive
or in a network folder), printing to a printer (local or in a network) or
output to an interface (serial or via the network) depends on the device
configuration. The various options are described in Section Device
settings , paragraph Output/Advanced on page 87.
