Switching on and adjusting the
Fluar Illuminator Z mot.
The Fluar Illuminator Z mot. is switched on
together with the Axio Zoom.V16 microscope
when it is connected to the focusing motor or
EMS 3 controller by CAN-RJ45 cable.
If the Fluar Illuminator Z mot. is
supplied by its own separate plug-in
power unit, it is automatically switched
on as soon as the latter is connected to
the main supply.
•
Switch the microscope on by pressing on the
HIP.
After switching on, the shutter of the Fluar
Illuminator Z mot. is always closed.
•
Completely open the iris diaphragm of the stop
slider (man. or mot.) using the control knob
(Fig. 10/

) or setting wheel (Fig. 10/

) as
required. Check that the diaphragm is centered.
If necessary, these can be centered with the two
adjusting screws (Fig. 10/

and

) or (Fig. 10/

and
7
).
•
Adjust the microscope to the specimen initially without fluorescence excitation according to the
separate operating manual. For this purpose swivel into a position on the reflector turret without
fluorescence filter set.
•
Switch the HXP 200 C illuminator on by the
Power
switch (Fig. 9/

) and select the desired
Intensity

) on the control dial.
•
Set
Shutter open/remote

open
position.
