5.9 Mounting the Excitation Filter
Wheel 8x mot.
•
Remove the cover of the reflected light mount
(Fig. 5-11/

) of the microscope.
•
Insert the filter wheel with the dovetail mount
(Fig. 5-11/
6 ) into the reflected light socket
(Fig. 5-11/ 1 ) and tighten the locking screw
(Fig. 5-11/ 2 ) using the 3 mm ball-end Allen key.
•
Mount the sensor ring of the safety kit for
HXP 120 (Fig. 5-11/
7 , right) at the mount
(Fig. 5-11/

) of the filter wheel.
•
Insert the plug (Fig. 5-11/

) of the filter wheel
into the CAN port of the microscope.
•
Insert the optical fiber connector of the
HXP 120 V with mounted contact ring
(Fig. 5-11/
7 , left) into the mount (Fig. 5-11/ 3 ) of
the filter wheel and fix it with the clamping
screw (Fig. 5-11/

).
5.10 Changing the HAL Halogen Lamp
For changing the halogen lamp of the HAL illuminator, the laser must be switched off in any
case!
