HOW TO GET TO THE FIRST PICTURE
Definite Focus.2 can be operated via the touchscreen of the Axio Observer or the imaging software
ZEN 2.3 (blue edition) or ZEN 2.1 SP1 (black edition), version 12.0.0.362.
11.1
Operation via the touchscreen of
the Axio Observer - Interactive
Mode
•
Insert the sample and focus on the object using
the focus drive.
•
Select the Home button (Fig. 4) on the
touchscreen.
•
Using the
On
and
Off
buttons to enable or
disable Definite Focus.2.
If Definite Focus.2 is started and controlled via the
touchscreen only, it will automatically run in
Interactive Mode.
In Interactive mode the current focus position of
Definite Focus.2 is used and stabilized as reference
position. If the focus position is changed by the
user, the reference position will be adjusted
accordingly. As a result, the new focus position
which was set manually by the user is held and
deviations resulting from uneven sample surfaces
or temperature fluctuations will be compensated
for.
11.2
Operation via ZEN 2.3 (blue edition) – Focus stabilization and Find Surface
If Definite Focus.2 is controlled via the imaging software ZEN 2.3 (blue edition), the following functions
are possible:
A
Detection of sample holder surface
B
Stabilization of focus position in Interactive Mode
C
Stabilization of focus position in Experiment Mode
Functions A and B are controlled in the "Devices" screen on the right tool area of ZEN (blue edition). C is
used in ZEN Experiment (see ZEN operating manual).
