Replacing the HBO 50 burner

Before inserting the burner, make sure the
equipment has been
disconnected
from
line power.
−
Replace the burner only if it has cooled
down; let microscope illuminator cool down
for at least 20min, otherwise there is the
risk of burns and explosion!
−
Carefully tighten all respective fastening
elements; non-compliance may result in
contacting faults due to strong heat
development in use.
−
Not remove or damage the cable for the
cooling element.
−
Avoid fingerprints on glass components of
the burner, if necessary remove them
immediately.

Dispose of used burner in accordance with
the legal dispositions. Observe the
producer’s notes (
see chapter 1.7 – Notes
concerning the disposal)!
Procedure:
•
Switch off lamp power supply.
•
Disconnect power plug of microscope
illuminator from lamp power supply.
•
Let microscope illuminator cool down for at
least 20 min.
•
Put on face shield and protective gloves.
•
If necessary, remove microscope illuminator
from microscope stand.
•
Loosen lock screw of compartment (3/
7
) for
lamp carrier using ball-headed screwdriver
SW 3.
•
Press unlatching key (3/
2
) of HBO 50 down.
Remove lamp compartment completely
from lamp housing (3/
1
) and put it
separately on the table.
