Please note that this jack acts as the second antenna for diversity reception.

For optimal preformance when a headphone, or the URXL1 lanyard, is not being used it is

recommended that a 3.5mm connector with a piece of wire (approximatally 5 inches long)

connected to the sheild is inserted to act as a second antenna.
