Send text message
Syntax
Tx
dst message <count>
Example
tx 1b hello 3
Transmit DA 1B Data: hello
The
tx
(transmit) command is used to send a text message to a remote
node. The target node is specified by the
<dst>
parameter, which should
be a hexadecimal value between
0x01
and
0xFF
(broadcast to all nodes
in range).
The
message
parameter is an arbitrary string of ASCII characters. To
transmit messages with spaces, enclose the message in quotation marks
(e.g., “message with spaces”). The
<count>
parameter is optional. If
<count>
is omitted, the message will be sent only once. If
<count>
is
included, it must be between
0x00
and
0xFF
. A non-zero value means
that the message will be sent
<count>
times. If
<count>
is zero, the mes-
sage will be transmitted continuously. Continuous transmission termi-
nates after the operator presses a key on the terminal program.
