Feed the Control Cable in through the hole in
the back of the Control Box. Plug the Control
Cable into the lid mounted circuit board (Pic 13)
and fix the cable at suitable points between the
Control Box and the Control Head. Coil any
excess cable and secure it near to the Control
Head.

FITTING THE AUTOMATIC LOCK
If the optional Automatic Lock is required,
mount it on the door track in such a position
that the cable reaches the Control Box and the
plunger is 1/2” above a track roller when the
door is fully closed.
Use the Automatic Lock template on the back of
the instructions to drill two 1/4” mounting holes
and one 9/16” hole for the plunger. Mount the
lock to the track using the supplied M5 screws
and flange nuts making sure that the lock
override tab is towards the bottom (Pic 14).

Fix the cable at suitable points between the lock
and the Control Box, feed the end into the back
of the Control Box enclosure and plug it into the
lid mounted circuit board (Pic 15).

SUPPLY OUTLET
A 115V 60Hz grounding type outlet is required
for the 8825-­‐R4, this should be installed by a
qualified electrician in accordance with the local
electrical codes, within 4’ of the Control Head.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
equipment has a grounding type plug, that has a
third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into
a grounding type outlet. If the plug does not fit
into the outlet, contact a qualified electrician to
install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug
in any way. Plug the three pin supply plug into
the outlet and apply mains power to the system.
A small green indicator light should be visible in
the outer metal plate of the Control Head (Pic
16) and the button in the lid of the Control Box
should be illuminated.

ACCESSORY WIRING
A 24Vdc 500mA supply is provided on the 5 way
field wiring terminal block; this supply is turned
off when the system is put into vacation mode.
There is an input provided for a dry normally
open contact (Pic 17). This can be used to wire
up a third party radio receiver or a remote
button. This input will cycle the door in the
same way as the illuminated button but without
the programming features.
