Encoding KLV Stream
The Z3-DME-10 is STANAG 4609/NGA MISP compliant and can place KLV data from the SDI ancillary data
in a UDP stream.
(1)
Return to the user interface.
(2)
Select “HD-SDI” from the Video Source drop down.
(3)
Select “UDP” from the Output Format drop down.
(4)
Select “TRUE” from the KLV Enable drop down. This will reveal the KLV Pid, KLV Bitrae, KLV Mode,
and KLV source settings.
(5)
Set the desired PID value (Most applications will dynamically find any PID with KLV). The default
KLV bitrate of 1000 bps is usually sufficient. If a higher data rate is expected set the bitrate
higher.
(6)
Set the KLV Mode to “SDI”. The other option is “FILE” which will take a binary file of captured KLV
data as its source.
(7)
With SDI selected a gv7601 device will need to be entered as the source. On the Z3-DME-10, the
only available gv7601 device is “/dev/gv7601.0” so enter this for the KLV Source.
(8)
Click the Start button and video will be streamed with KLV data.
