8. Attach the mount tubes to your ATV rack using (2) provided U-bolts with
locknuts Or using (4) provided 1/4-20 x 2-1/2” bolts with backup plates
& locknuts. Either option will work depending on if you have a steel or
composite (plastic) rack on your ATV. The U-bolt option may work better
for steel tube ATV racks. see FIGures 1a & 1b
NOTE: The slide mounts offer infinite adjustment from front to rear so
that all four mounting locations (2 in rear and 2 in front) can be aligned
best with your ATV rack.
9. You must now tighten all nut and bolt locations securely. Be sure not to
over tighten or crush tubing when tightening.
use INsTrucTIONs:
1. This universal mount ATV Backrest is designed to be used as a backrest
only when not riding/driving an ATV. Never use as a backrest when
riding/driving and ATV.
2. You can adjust the backrest angle in multiple positions for your desired
comfort by adjusting the spring lock pin location with the holes in mount
tubes. Backrest can also be folded flat if desired. A gear pocket is provided
on back of pad for storage options.
