25. Set the temperature controllers to automatic mode
for the waste exhaust gas.
26. Press the Refrigerant Pump
Auto
button.
27. Return the valve cap. There is an O-ring between
the cap and valve. When fitting the cap, make
sure that the O-ring is set normally.
PRECAUTIONS FOR DECRYSTALLIZATION
• Cycle the chilled / hot water pump and the cool-
ing water pump off and on during the decrystal-
lization process.
• Remove any sensors that are sensitive to heat be-
fore you start the melting operation. The tempera-
ture of the chilled / hot water and cooling water
that remains in the absorption chiller-heater may
rise to about 70°C.
• When you start the chiller-heater after decrys-
tallization, discharge the chilled / hot water and
the cooling water first. The basin material of the
cooling tower may be damaged due to the heat if
not drained properly.
If the tower water is shut off during the
decrystallization process, be aware that
the water in the unit tubes will be very
hot after the decrystallization process is
complete. Slowly send this water to the
cooling tower to avoid damage to the
plastic fill tank.
MAINTENANCE ITEMS
Maintenance and inspection items along with standard
inspection periods are shown in the table below. For
details, contact your local Johnson Controls Service
Center.
Inspection frequency may be adjusted according to the
actual operating conditions.

C
Check Vacuum Pump
After you replace the oil in the vacuum pump, be sure to
pull the pulley belt and check the smooth motion of the
pulley.
C
Appearance check
Check the outside of the unit for damage (for example,
leakage for chilled / hot water and cooling water, rusting,
or other possible damage concerns). Check the solution
pump and refrigerant pump for abnormal sounds and
vibration.
