2.4 Synchronizing the Camera to the DL950
After configuring the high-speed camera, synchronize the camera to the DL950.
1.
After carrying out the procedure in section 2.3, click the
Video
tab and then
Sync. Settings
.
A Sync. Setting window appears.
It may take some time for the Sync. Setting window to appear depending on the camera and network
environment.

• Click
Video
to open a camera video panel. Clicking it when the video panel is open closes the panel.
• When you open the Sync. Setting window, you can synchronize the clocks using the DL950’s sync
signal received through the camera’s external input port. (In the example below, the terminals are
Input1 and Input2, but the terminal names vary depending on the camera.)

Configure the camera, and click
Apply
.
The DL950 trigger position, measurement time, and so on are displayed according to the number of pre-
trigger and post-trigger frames and the number of recorded frames specified on the camera.

Check the DL950 settings, and then click
Confirm

The camera synchronized to the DL950 is displayed.

Triggers occur for the number of specified counts.
The DL950’s trigger mode is set to Normal. The camera’s
record count is reflected in the DL950’s trigger count N.
The DL950 TDiv is set so that the record time will be
equivalent to the camera’s record time.
In this figure, t = 1 s. Therefore, the time per division on
the DL950 is equal to 100 ms (100.0E−03 s).
* Check that this matches the sync signal clock output
from the DL950 (frequency specified for Pulse Rate on
the DL950 Device Control panel). If it does not match,
check the configuration and connections in section 2.3.
The ratio of the camera’s Fnb and Fna is reflected in the
trigger position on the waveform window.
