functionality. When severe, it may even melt the connecting coupling nut or
short-circuit the heating core.
4. Do not cull oxide from the soldering tip with a file. If the soldering tip is
deformed or rusts, it must be replaced.
5. When soldering, do not apply excessive pressure to the soldering tip. While
excessive pressure will not change its thermal conductivity, it will damage the
soldering tip.
VIII.
Desoldering Station Maintenance
and Component Replacement
1. Cleaning and maintenance are the same for both the high-frequency soldering
station soldering tip and the desoldering gun nozzle. Sucker, Heating Element
and Filter Tube Cleaning.
2. Nozzle, Heating Element, and Filter Pipe Cleaning.
A. Nozzle cleaning
* Insert the plug into the power outlet. Turn on the power switch to heat the nozzle.
* Select an appropriate nozzle cleaning needle to clean the nozzle hole.
B. Heating element cleaning
* Unscrew the nut after the heating element has cooled. Remove the steel pipe
and nozzle.
* Turn on the power switch to heat the heating element. Use an appropriate
cleaning needle to clean the heating element holes.
* The power must be turned off after cleaning.
Caution:
Solder in the heating element holes can only be cleaned after it is melted. If the
cleaning needle cannot penetrate the heating element holes, replace the heating
element. When assembling, the nut must be screwed on tightly. Otherwise, the
nozzle temperatures will be low.

C. Filter Tube Cleaning
1) Turn off the power. Wait until the filter has cooled. Remove the filter according
to the picture below.
2) Remove the filter and put out the spring filter tube to clean the solder in the
spring filter as shown below.
Caution:
Be careful as the filter tube is very hot.
A. Pull down
B. Pops out on its own
C. Replace filter pipe

Components in the filter need to be replaced when the following phenomenon
happens.
* Replace the spring filter tube when soldering tin can not be removed or stored 2/3
solder in the spring filter tube.
* Replace the asbestos filter when it gets stiff, silting up too much solder and flux.
3. Heating Component Replacement
①
Unplug the power cord and cool down the heating component.
②
Screw out the nut and remove the steel tube and sucker.
③
Remove the fixed screw in the heating component.
④
Take out the filter.
⑤
Screw out protective screw and open the cabin.
⑥
Unplug the heating element connection and remove the heating component
⑦
Install a new heating component.
⑧
Connect the connection as follow as the original wiring method
⑨
Assemble the desoldering gun in reverse order and re adjust the temperature.
