5. Getting Started
After closing the battery cover, the Personal Tracker will power up
and automatically attempt to register to GSM network.
Provided that your device is positioned in an area with clear un-
obstructed view of the sky, the device will start scanning for GPS
satellites to obtain its first GPS lock. This first fix can take several
minutes.
To use all communication and tracking features of the device, some
mandatory setup parameters need to be configured from the Control
Base software or Tracking Websites before it is able to operate
properly. Please refer to your Tracking Web or software guide to do
the account and device configurations.
After setting up a user account at the Control Base, please make sure
that all required SIM card details, SMS and GPRS dial-up
information and Contact numbers have been entered correctly, before
you send them through SMS initialization command to the device:
Name:
This name will appear to identify the device when you
receive GPS location and alarm SMS
NO:
Refers to the GSM number used with the device
SMSC:
Service Center Number of the Cellular Service Provider
from which you purchased the SIM card used in your
device.
Cont 1:
Phone number of the main authorized contact person to
remote control security features and receive SMS
alarms.
GPRS uID: (
if required
) User name or ID to enable GPRS services
GPRS PSW: (
if required
) Password to enable GPRS services
GPRS Dial: Dial-up number to connect to GPRS network
APN:
Access Point Nod address to connect to GPRS network
Submit and initialize all these information to the device in order to
complete the setup of your Personal Tracker.

6. Phone Operation
The Personal Tracker allows you to receive and accept phone calls and
quick-dial to two preset phone numbers.
Make a Phone Call
Press the first button to quick-dial to
the main contact number you have
setup at your Control Base software or
online Tracking Web.
Press the third button to quick-dial to
the second contact number you have
setup at your Control Base software or
online Tracking Web.
To end a call, press the first or third
button.
Receive Incoming Calls
Press the first button to accept an
incoming phone call.
To end the call, press the first or third
button.
NOTE: The Personal Tracker’s first 12 seconds of ring time (ca. 2-6
rings) are reserved for the Single Location Request function.
The ring tone will only be audible at the device after this period.
To power off the device, press the third button and hold for 5 seconds.
Press again to turn the device on.
