OPERATION
Adjusting the feeder house so that the deck plates are at a 22 – 24 degree angle will optimize pivot arm
travel. In some cases, the 5000-080 5” set-back kit may need added to allow better residue flow. Smaller
combines may need weight added to the rear end.
STORAGE
When storing the corn head for the offseason, it is OK for the 5000 Stalk Devastators to hold some weight
of the corn head whether stored on the ground or on a trailer. For longer service life, loosen the nut on the
compression spring.
