On repeated operation
of the thermostatic
switch the stove should be turned off and
under no circumstances
re-lit until specialist advice has been obtained from your
dealer
.
Whilst the appliance is called a 'stove' the DART/DARTMOOR
is not designed to be
used in any way as a cooker
.
The stove should
not be used for any other purpose
than as a room heater
and decorative
stove.
This appliance is designed solely for use in the United Kingdom and Republic of
Ireland.
The installation must be in accordance with the Gas Safety Installation
&
Use
Regulations
1994 amend revised 1997 and with these instructions,
and all the relevant
parts of the Local and National Building Regulations,
and the recommendations
of
the relevant British Standards Codes of Practice.
b) It is required
by law that any appliance
using natural
or LPG gas is installed
by
a competent
person
(e.g. CORGI
registered),
in conjunction
with these
instructions
and the requirements
as laid down in the relevant
Regulations
and
British
Standards:
- The Gas Safety (Installation
and Use) Regulations
1994 revised 1997
- The Building Regulations
(issued by the Department
of the Environment)
- The Building Standards (Scotland)(Consolidation)
Regulations
APPLIANCE TO BE INSTALLED IN
ACCORDANCE TO NATIONAL REGULATIONS
Installation
must only be undertaken
by a competent
person e.g. CORGI
REGISTERED
and in conjunction
with the installation instructions.
Installers will be supplied with comprehensive
fitting instructions
in a separate booklet.
This will be left by the fitter once installation has been undertaken.
To comply with the Building Regulations
issued by the Department
of the Environment,
the following points should be noted when choosing a hearth :-
i)
The hearth must be made of non combustible
material of thickness 12mm minimum.
ii) The hearth must protrude
at least 150mm in front of the stove coals and 150mm
each side.
iii) The hearth must not be capable of inadvertent
covering by a carpet or rug. This
should be achieved by either:
a) the hearth being 50mm (2") above the level of the room floor.
b) a fender or kerb around the edge of the hearth to a height of at least 50mm (2")
above the
t1oor
