5.3 Settings (PIR)
Field Options Purpose Optimizing
PIR Sensor ON/OFF Enable/disable infrared motion sensor
ON - Motion will trigger camera
OFF - Camera will not look for motion, and
only trigger according to time-lapse (below)
Sensitivity High/Middle/Low
Motion threshhold that triggers your
camera
We recommend High to start; then changing to
Low or Middle if your camera is taking too
many pictures without desired subjects
PIR Delay ON/OFF (HH:MM:SS)
Minimum delay between successive
motion triggers. After a motion trigger,
camera won't look for subsequent
motion during the delay period) We recommend OFF for most environments,
but a short delay might be optimal if your
camera is over a bait pile and you're getting too
many photos of the same deer.
Time Lapse ON/OFF (HH:MM:SS)
Frequency of pictures taken in a
timelapse setting (e.g. 00:30:00 would
trigger a picture automatically every
30 minutes, regardles of motion)
We recommend ON if you're monitoring an
asset like a construction project.
