SERVICING DOUBLE INSULATED TOOLS

21

This tool is double-insulated, which means that two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. There is no

grounding provided, and no means of ground-ing should be added to this tool. Extreme care and knowledge of the

system is required when servicing a double-insulated tool. Service should be performed by qualified service personnel

only. Replace-ment parts for a double-insulated tool must be identical to the parts that they replace. Call the Toll-Free

Helpline (1-866-523-5218) for information concerning repairs. Double-insulated tools are marked with the words “double

insulation” or “double insulated.”

Use a small brush to clean off the outside of the Blower/Vac. Do not use strong detergents, household cleaners that

contain aromatic oils, such as pine and lemon, or solvents such as kerosene. These substances can damage the plastic

housing or handle. Wipe off any moisture using a soft cloth.

1. In order to avoid deterioration and obstructing the air flow, which will reduce the performance of the vacuum, empty the

bag after each use.

2. Wear eye protection and a dust mask when emptying the vacuum bag. Turn the bag inside-out after empty-ing it, and

vigorously shake out the remaining dust and debris.

3. Wash the bag once per year, or more often if needed:

    a. Remove the vacuum bag.

b. Turn the bag inside out.c. Hang it up.

d. Hose it down thoroughly.

e. Hang it in order to dry it.

f. Turn the bag right-side-out, and re-install it.

•

Store the Blower/Vac in a locked location in order to prevent unauthorized use or damage.

•

Store the Blower/Vac in a dry, well-ventilated area.

•

Store the Blower/Vac out of the reach of children.

Inspect extension cords on a regular basis. Look closely for deterioration, cuts, or cracks in the insulation. Inspect the

connectors for damage. Replace the extension cord if it is defective or damaged.

WARNING:

In order to avoid serious personal injury, turn the Blower/Vac off and unplug it before cleaning or

servicing.
