3. Operation
• Switch the motor off and remove the battery pack
• whenever you leave the machines;
• before clearing a blockage;
• before checking, cleaning or working on the appli-
ance;
• if the appliance starts to vibrate abnormally

Operate the appliance only in daylight or in good artifi

cial light.
• Do not overreach and keep your balance at all times.
• Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
• Walk, never run.
• Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.
• Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders.
• Operate the machine only at reasonable hours – not
early in the morning or late at night when people might
be disturbed. Comply with times listed in local ordi-
nance.
• Operate the machine at the lowest possible engine
speed to do the job.
• Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blow-
ing.
• In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces or use
mister attachment if available.
• Use the full blower nozzle extension so the air stream
can work close to the ground.
• Watch out for children, pets, open windows etc. and
blow debris safely away.
• Do not start the tool when it is upside down or when it
is not in the operating position.
